Fiberglass is a durable, energy efficient, low maintenance material superior to wood, vinyl, and aluminum in many ways.
Fiberglass won’t rot, crack, split, or warp like wood. It is stronger and has almost zero thermal expansion rate compared to vinyl. Compared with aluminum and even thermally broken aluminum, fiberglass windows are much more thermally efficient and have much lower U-values.
Aluminum Windows:
- High embodied energy content
- Thermal break systems can shrink causing water infiltration
- Not as energy efficient
Wood Windows:
- Can rot, crack, split, warp
- Not as energy efficient
- Requires maintenance
Vinyl Windows:
- Can fade and discolor
- Can expand and contract with weather
- Not as energy efficient
Fiberglass Windows:
- Longer lasting
- Lower life cycle cost
- Energy Efficient
- Offers wood grain look and color
- Great insulating value
- Won't rot, fade, crack, warp, twist, or corrode
- Made from partially recycled materials
